What Is It?
RCMS embodies the Responsible Care® Guiding Principles and Codes of Management Practice.
RCMS Transforms the Responsible Care® Guiding Principles and Codes of Management Practice, into a traditional Plan-Do-Check-Act management system cycle.
Its aim is to prevent accidents, injuries or harm to the environment through a scope that covers pollution prevention, distribution, product stewardship, process safety, employee health and safety, security, community awareness and emergency response, performance reporting and the value chain.
Key components of RCMS include policy and leadership, planning, implementation, performance measurement and management review.
The Responsible Care Management System is based on effective and proven management practices by combining Responsible Care with leading private-sector company practices, the International Standards Organization (ISO) and federal regulatory requirements.
With Senior Management at the center of its success, they must develop, document and implement a policy that achieves its goals and objectives, as well as builds continual improvement practices.
